Arrest of 30-year-old in Korydallós – five motorcycle thefts
Police officers from the DIAs unit arrested a 30-year-old following a pursuit in Korydallós. He was identified as the perpetrator of five motorcycle thefts over the past month.

Pursuit in Korydallós – 30-year-old caught with stolen motorcycle
Police officers from the DIAs unit arrested a 30-year-old motorcycle rider in Korydallós on the afternoon of 11 September, following a pursuit. An announcement from the Hellenic Police was issued on Saturday, 19 September 2026.
According to Newsit.gr, the incidents began when patrol officers in the Kaminies area spotted a suspicious motorcycle and attempted to conduct a check. The rider immediately accelerated and attempted to flee, resulting in a pursuit that ended with him being immobilised in Korydallós. The motorcycle he was driving was found to be stolen.
The 30-year-old was transferred to the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of Aigaleo. During the preliminary investigation, he was identified by police as the perpetrator of four additional motorcycle thefts that had been committed in the same area over the previous month. In total, five thefts are attributed to him.
According to the authorities, the defendant was bypassing the motorcycle wiring and starting them without keys. A case file was drawn up against him for aggravated professional theft and repeated offence, as well as for disobedience.
The Hellenic Police reported that the 30-year-old had come to the attention of the authorities in the past for offences of a similar nature. He was brought before the competent prosecutor.
