Arrest of 33-year-old in Peristeri for drugs, weapons and counterfeit banknotes
A 33-year-old man was arrested in Peristeri with drugs, weapons and counterfeit banknotes. During the search, a 39-year-old distributor was also arrested with cannabis.
Three charges against 33-year-old in Peristeri
A 33-year-old Greek citizen was arrested in the early morning hours of 18 September 2026 in Peristeri, according to reports by Newsbeast. The arrest was carried out by police officers from the Division for Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes in Aspropyrgos (D.D.E.E.A./G.A.D.A.), and a case file was drawn up against him for violations of legislation concerning narcotic substances, weapons and the circulation of counterfeit banknotes.
The operation began following information received by the service regarding a person who was distributing drugs in the area, using a health-related establishment as a base. Police officers located the 33-year-old and confirmed his criminal activity.
A search conducted at the suspect's residence as well as at the establishment he owned yielded results: quantities of narcotic substances, weapons and counterfeit banknotes were found and seized.
During the inspection of the establishment, a 39-year-old distributor was also arrested, who was in possession of a small quantity of unprocessed cannabis.
Both arrested individuals were brought before the competent prosecutor.
