Police officers from the Crime Investigation Unit of Aspropyrgos arrested a 33-year-old man who was using a health-related shop as a base for drug trafficking.

According to In.gr, in the early hours of Friday 18 September 2026, a 33-year-old Greek national was arrested in Peristeri by police officers from the Crime Investigation and Detection Unit of Aspropyrgos of the General Police Directorate of Attica (G.A.D.A.).

The operation was initiated following information received by the service regarding an individual trafficking narcotics in the area, using a health-related shop as a base. The officers located the 33-year-old and verified his criminal activity on the spot.

During searches of the suspect's residence and shop, narcotics, a firearm and counterfeit banknotes were found and seized. A case file was opened against him for violations of legislation concerning addictive substances, firearms and the circulation of counterfeit banknotes.

During the inspection of the shop, a 39-year-old distributor was also arrested, who was in possession of a small quantity of unprocessed cannabis. Both arrested individuals were brought before the competent prosecutor.
