According to Dikastiko.gr, a 35-year-old woman has been identified and subsequently arrested in connection with the distribution of defamatory leaflets on car windscreens in the Theriso neighbourhood in Crete. The leaflets contained offensive and sexist remarks directed against a woman.

The suspect was named by the victim herself, who filed a complaint against her, according to cretalive.gr. Police officers located the 35-year-old and brought her to Heraklion Police Headquarters, where she remains in custody.

At the same time, authorities are searching for a man who is believed to have assisted the 35-year-old in the distribution of the printed materials. His identity details have not been clarified so far.

The case is being handled by the First Police Department of Heraklion, with investigations ongoing. Statements are expected to reveal the motives behind the attack, which, based on evidence so far, appears to have a personal background.
