On the morning of Saturday, 13 June 2026, officers from the DIAS unit brought in a 40-year-old man in Zakynthos. Charges were brought against him for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
The operation was carried out in Bochalι, where initial checks led to the identification of the suspect. Subsequently, officers conducted searches of a vehicle and two residences that he used. During these searches, illegal substances and firearms were located and seized.
The Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes on the island assumed responsibility for the preliminary investigation. The arrested man was referred to the Misdemeanour Prosecutor of Zakynthos with the relevant case file.
