Police officers from the Leros Police Department proceeded, in the early morning hours of 22 June 2026, with the arrest of a 41-year-old foreign national. During the check, 56 pharmaceutical tablets were found on the suspect and seized, for which he did not possess a medical prescription.
The operation was carried out as part of the regular checks conducted by the Regional Police Directorate of the Southern Aegean to combat the trafficking of narcotic substances in the islands of the Aegean Sea.
A case file was opened against the arrested person for possession of narcotics. The 41-year-old was taken before the competent prosecutor.
