Police arrested a 45-year-old in Chalandri who threatened a neighbouring resident with a replica gun and attacked officers with a knife.

A 45-year-old man was arrested in Chalandri on Thursday evening following a report filed by a 25-year-old resident of the same building. According to the report, the man had threatened her with a replica firearm.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Pamphylia Street. The young woman notified the authorities, who arrived at the scene immediately. During the police intervention, the suspect allegedly attacked officers whilst wielding a blade.
The officers managed to restrain him and take him to the police station. During the search, a fake gun, knives, a folding knife and various other items were found in his possession and were seized.
The arrested man faces serious charges, including violations of weapons laws, disobedience, intimidation, assault and violent action against public officials.
