Police officers from the Crime Investigation and Detection Unit in Rhodes proceeded on the afternoon of 30 June 2026 to arrest a 50-year-old Greek man, who is involved in a drug trafficking case.

According to a statement from the Regional Police Directorate of the South Aegean, published by the newspaper Dimokratiki of Rhodes, officers found and seized 6.4 grams of cocaine, a pharmaceutical substance used for adulteration, an electronic precision scale and €400 in cash in the man's possession.

The 50-year-old was brought before the prosecutor to have charges connected with the possession and trafficking of narcotic substances brought against him. The arrest is part of ongoing operations by the prosecution authorities to combat drug trafficking in the islands of the South Aegean.

On the same day, the Regional Police Directorate of the South Aegean also announced further arrests in Rhodes and Kos for offences involving illegal construction work, beach encroachment and noise pollution.
