Arrest of 61-year-old man in Atalanti for cannabis cultivation and possession of swords
Police officers from the Lamia Prosecution Directorate have arrested a 61-year-old Greek man in Atalanti for drugs and illegal weapons offences.

Police officers from the Drug Prosecution Department of the Lamia Prosecution and Crime Investigation Directorate arrested a 61-year-old Greek man for violations of legislation concerning drugs and weapons, according to Dikastiko.gr.
The operation was conducted in the Atalanti area. Using information about his activities, police officers located him walking on foot and immobilised him on the spot.
A lawful search of his residence followed, during which it was established that the 61-year-old maintained a cannabis cultivation and possessed weapons.
Findings in the garden and interior
A cannabis seedling in full development, 2.10 metres tall, was found in the garden of the property, which was uprooted and seized. Inside the house, an additional cultivated cannabis plant 3 centimetres tall was found in a plastic pot.

The authorities also seized the following:
- Improvised packaging containing cannabis plant matter in the drying stage, mixed weight of 141 grammes
- 3.6 grammes of unprocessed cannabis
- Improvised packaging containing cannabis seeds, mixed weight of 0.6 grammes
- Electronic precision scales
- Three cannabis grinders
- Four metal swords
- One rifle cartridge
The arrested man was taken to the relevant authorities for further proceedings.
