A 65-year-old is accused of indecent assault against a 12-year-old in the Lokrída area of Phthiótis, according to newsit.gr. The man was arrested following a warrant issued by the Lamia investigating magistrate.
The incident occurred in the early part of last month. The 65-year-old, exploiting his prior acquaintance with the minor, persuaded the child to get into his vehicle, promising to return him safely to his home. Instead, he locked the doors and transported him to an isolated location, where he proceeded to commit acts of indecent assault.
According to information from LamiaReport, the judicial authorities have serious evidence against the accused. Among this is his habit of circulating in the places where the 12-year-old played with his friends.
The accused was brought before the Lamia investigating magistrate on Friday, 26 June 2026, at which time he was granted a deadline. His formal hearing is expected on Monday, 29 June.
