80-year-old arrested in Kos for sexual harassment of minor
The 80-year-old was arrested on Friday after allegedly making sexual propositions to a minor, having first obtained her mobile phone number.
Police operation in Kos leads to arrest of 80-year-old
According to In.gr, police officers from the Kos Crime Investigation and Detection Unit arrested an 80-year-old Greek national on Friday afternoon, accused of sexual harassment of a minor.
According to police, on Thursday 15 October the 80-year-old approached the minor in a public place and obtained her mobile phone number. He subsequently allegedly made propositions to her that violated her sexual dignity.
Claiming allegedly to have an interest in a relative of the minor and promising financial compensation, he attempted to persuade her to meet him at a predetermined location.
The police authorities, informed of the incident, immediately placed that location under surveillance. When the 80-year-old appeared, he was brought in for questioning and subsequently arrested on the spot.
A case file was opened against him for sexual harassment, and he is to be brought before the First Instance Prosecutor of Kos.
