The competent Domestic Violence Department in Pyrgos has taken over the handling of the case.
What the teacher reported
The incident, as described by the teacher herself to ertnews, took place at Agios Athanasios square. The woman was heading towards her car to travel to Lechaena, where she had a scheduled lesson, when she noticed the man repeatedly pushing a young woman.
After the perpetrator placed the girl in the car and closed the door, he turned on the teacher. According to her report, he pushed her with both hands on the shoulder blades, causing her to fall on the road. Passers-by rushed to help her and she remained with them for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
"I moved aside in a split second"
When the teacher began to leave, she heard a car accelerating. The same red vehicle, as she states, was moving directly towards her.
"In a split second I moved aside and embraced two poles, one for signage and one for lighting. He turned the steering wheel and left," she said, characterising the action as "attempted murder".
The teacher filed a complaint with the relevant police department and a file was opened against the young man.
