A 42-year-old British national was arrested at Athens International Airport, who was being sought by British authorities in connection with cases of drug trafficking and child pornography.

A 42-year-old British national was arrested at "Eleftherios Venizelos" Athens International Airport, who was in the sights of the United Kingdom authorities through a red notice. The foreign national was identified by police officers from the Security Department of the airport's Policing Directorate immediately after his flight landed from Qatar.
The man is accused of drug trafficking during the period 2015-2022. At the same time, in the course of the investigation that followed his arrest, it was established that he was in possession of pornographic material.
The arrested man was brought before the competent prosecuting authority for the appropriate prosecution to be brought.
