Police in Mykonos have arrested two men of Albanian origin, who are accused of removing tools and equipment from construction sites at hotels under construction.

Police in Mykonos have arrested two men of Albanian origin, who are accused of removing tools and equipment from construction sites at hotels under construction.
Police investigation revealed that the two men had committed at least four thefts from building work sites involving tourist facilities. From their break-ins they removed professional equipment, such as cordless drills, cutters, grinding wheels and other machinery used in construction and electrical work.
In addition, they stole electronic materials. Their thefts caused financial damage to business owners, with the total cost of stolen items approaching €37,000.
The authorities have filed charges against the arrested individuals. At the same time, an investigation is being conducted to establish whether they are involved in other similar criminal acts on the island.
