Two men arrested over drugs in garage at Olympic Village
Police arrested a 40-year-old and a 28-year-old for trafficking in cocaine and cannabis. Drugs and a stolen motorcycle were seized.
Cocaine and cannabis in underground garage — two arrests at Olympic Village
According to Newsit.gr, police arrested two men for drug trafficking at the Olympic Village in an operation carried out on 24 September. Quantities of cocaine and raw cannabis were seized, as well as a stolen motorcycle.
Officers from the O.P.K.E. spotted the 40-year-old moving on a motorcycle and asked him to stop for a check. The man accelerated in an attempt to escape. He was later found in an underground garage of a residence belonging to a 28-year-old, who was present at the location.
The Hellenic Police announced on Tuesday (29.09.2026) the results of the investigation conducted by officers of the Department for Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes in Acharnes in the underground parking area. The following were found and seized:
- 40 grammes of raw cannabis
- a two-wheeled motorcycle with a falsified chassis number
- a motorcycle circulation permit for a vehicle reported as stolen
Both arrested men were charged with violations of legislation on addictive substances, failure to obey a police order, dangerous driving, forgery and theft. The two men were taken before the competent prosecutor.
