According to Newsit.gr, a wild chase unfolded on the E65 highway in Trikala on the evening of Thursday, 24 September 2026, following an attempted fraud that occurred in Pefki, Kalambaka.
The two alleged perpetrators attempted to flee by car, but were spotted by police officers from the Meteora Police Department, who immediately began the pursuit.
At the height of Mourgkanio, the suspects accelerated to high speeds and performed dangerous manoeuvres in an attempt to evade capture. Police officers from the DIAS unit and the Crimes Investigation and Detection Sub-directorate of Trikala participated in the operation, according to Trikalavoice.gr.
The chase ended at the Longos toll booth in Trikala, where police officers immobilised the vehicle and proceeded to arrest the two perpetrators.
