The perpetrator of the killing of a 17-year-old in a violent brawl in Kallithea has been arrested after midnight on Wednesday. The Greek perpetrator confessed to the act, and police brought 14 people in for questioning.

A 17-year-old lost his life in a brawl that took place shortly before midnight on Megaloupoleos Street in Kallithea. The man who stabbed him in the chest has been arrested and admitted the act to police officers.
According to reports by state television, the perpetrator is Greek and participated in the violent clash between two groups of teenagers that started from a park in the area. Following the incident, 14 people were taken to a police station. The perpetrator claimed that he threw his weapon into a rubbish bin.
A knife was found at the scene of the crime, which is being investigated to determine whether it is the one that was used. A screwdriver and a jumper were also found, which possibly belong to the young victim.
An ambulance from EKAB transported the injured teenager to Hippocrates Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he died shortly afterwards from his injuries.
Police spokesperson Konstantia Dimoglídou stated to ERT that both sides of the clash belong to the same group. "The possibility of football-related motives is being examined, but it does not appear to be the case, since the majority of those involved, including the perpetrator and the victim, are supporters of the same group, so it is not clear exactly what happened," she said.
Many of those arrested are known to the authorities for connections with the football fan scene. Investigations continue to locate audiovisual material and find objects that may have been used.
