Police in Thessaloniki arrested two foreign parents, aged 41 and 39, after their 4.5-year-old child was found wandering alone on a pavement in Sykies.
Parents arrested in Thessaloniki for child endangerment
Officers from the Nea Ionia–Sykies Department proceeded on Saturday (30/5) to arrest two foreign nationals, aged 41 and 39. The arrested individuals are accused of child endangerment after leaving their child unsupervised.
The 4.5-year-old minor escaped from his parents' home and was found by police officers walking alone on a pavement in the Sykies area. Police authorities located the child and, after establishing the circumstances, proceeded to arrest the parents.
A police statement reported that the two foreign nationals were arrested in the morning hours on Saturday, after their minor child had left home without their knowledge.
