Police arrested a 45-year-old man in Chalandri who, according to a complaint filed by a 25-year-old resident of the same apartment building, intimidated her with a replica firearm.

A 45-year-old resident of Chalandri was taken into police custody following an operation carried out on Pamphylia Street at approximately 20:00.
The arrest resulted from a complaint filed by a 25-year-old woman, a resident of the same apartment building, who alleged that the man had intimidated her with a replica firearm. The victim immediately notified the authorities and police arrived at the scene promptly.
During the operation, the perpetrator allegedly resisted and threatened the police officers with a blade. He was eventually immobilised and taken to the police station. In a subsequent search, authorities found the replica firearm in his possession, various knives, a machete, and other items.
A case file was opened against him and he faces criminal charges for violation of firearms legislation, threats, insult, disobedience, and violent behaviour towards public officials.
