A 26-year-old student with activity in anarchist circles has been arrested as the fourth person implicated in the case that led to the death of Vagia Nestora. The incident occurred at a residence in Thessaloniki.
According to newsit.gr, the young man is alleged to have obtained the keys to the building on Papadiamanté Street from a 24-year-old, who is the owner of the property. The latter had been arrested days earlier along with a couple facing charges of arson and was ordered to be remanded in custody.
In his statement before the judicial authorities, the 24-year-old claimed that he had given the keys to an acquaintance without knowing that they would end up with a couple connected to the attack. He also argued that he had no knowledge that the property was used as a hideout and preparation location by those allegedly responsible for the crime.
Subsequently, the keys were transferred by the student to the couple accused of the arson attack. The arrest warrant for the 26-year-old was issued by the magistrate on Thursday morning and his arrest was carried out immediately. The competent authorities are continuing their investigation, with official announcements from the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) expected.
