A second suspect has been apprehended by prosecuting authorities for two fire-bombings that took place last summer at the residences of sports fans in the areas of Daphni and Agia Dimitria in Attica.
The Organised Crime Countermeasures Subdivision of the Hellenic Police concluded its investigation into the attacks of July 2025, as reported by Newspaper of Editors. Last February, a 20-year-old had been arrested, considered to be one of the two individuals involved. Through evaluation of digital data and material from the preliminary investigation, officers managed to locate his accomplice.
From the findings of the investigation, it emerged that the two perpetrators travelled by motorcycle to the targets. The younger one, aged 20, is alleged to have placed and ignited improvised incendiary devices, whilst the 24-year-old drove the vehicle.
On Monday morning, following a prosecutor's order, officers from the Special Operations Directorate entered the home of the older suspect. There they found and seized quantities of narcotics as well as weapons. The young man was arrested and referred to the prosecutor.
