Police officers from the Agiassos and Polichni departments in Mytilene arrested an individual who had made telephone threats against a member of the bar association, whilst a search of his home uncovered an illegal hunting rifle.

A man permanently residing in Agiassos on Lesbos has been taken into custody by the prosecuting authorities following an operation organised by police from the local department together with colleagues from Polichni. The case began when he made a telephone call to the Court Building in Mytilene and intimidated a member of the bar association.
A search of his residence followed, in the presence of a judicial representative. The initial indications were confirmed when a hunting rifle was found, whose possession was not lawful.
The arrested person was brought before the prosecuting authorities on the charges of illegal weapons possession and threats against a specific person.
