Thessaloniki: Reconstruction of perpetrators' route – Possible involvement of fourth person in Nestor murder
Counter-terrorism is investigating the route of the perpetrators of the arson attacks that cost Vagia Nestor her life. The involvement of a fourth person is being examined.

According to In.gr, investigations by the Counter-terrorism Service are continuing at an unabated pace to clarify three arson attacks using improvised explosive devices on residences of New Democracy officials in Thessaloniki, which resulted in the murder of Vagia Nestor.
Investigators are now focusing on the route followed by the perpetrators before and after the attacks, seeking material from security cameras that may capture their faces or the characteristics of the motorcycles they used. The aim is to identify locations where the suspects moved without covering their identifying features, or where the number plates and other distinctive elements of the vehicles are visible.
"The investigation is progressing. Police are searching for material and other evidence, because at some point we will reach the identification of the perpetrators – that is certain. We owe it to the injured and the woman who left life in such an unjust way," said Greek Police press spokesperson Konstantia Dimoglidi, speaking to MEGA. She added that "we must have sufficient evidence against those involved, so that the case can stand legally and justice can be served".
Citizens Protection Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis appeared categorical regarding the arrest of the perpetrators, whilst also emphasising that "democracy requires a case file and full evidence".
Although initial assessments suggested three perpetrators who moved on two motorcycles, more recent evidence being examined does not rule out the involvement of a fourth person in the operation. The Counter-terrorism Service continues to collect and analyse video material and other data that may shed light on the identity of those involved and on how the attacks were organised.
Dimoglidi described the method of operation: "This incendiary device that was used consists of flammable liquid with a lighter. The target is specific, given that it comes from a specific political space. They had realised that they were not being guarded and the distances were short, meaning they could move around and carry out one action after another".
She assessed that responsibility would not be claimed by any anti-establishment group for the three attacks. "I do not believe that responsibility will be claimed, given that we have a dead woman," she stated, explaining that such a move might "help" the authorities in locating the perpetrators by narrowing the circle of suspects.
