A 15-year-old girl was struck by a car while attempting to cross the road in Peraia. The 38-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.

Near midnight, in the Peraia area of Thessaloniki, a 15-year-old girl attempted to cross the road. At that moment, a car that was moving at the location struck her.
The car was being driven by a 38-year-old man. From the collision, the teenager sustained serious injuries. An ambulance from EKAB immediately rushed to the scene, which transported her to a medical facility.
Police forces proceeded to arrest the driver of the vehicle. The incident is now being investigated, with the aim of establishing the exact factors that caused the event.
