A 20-year-old was fatally stabbed in Thessaloniki last night. The autopsy performed at the Forensic Medicine Service of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki revealed two wounds on the victim's body.
According to information published by Kathimerini, the wounds are located on the left chest and the right back. The body was transferred to Aristotle University for examination, and samples were taken for toxicological testing. Completion of the investigation is expected through computed tomography scanning.
The forensic pathologist visited the scene where the killing occurred and monitored the route the young man travelled before falling onto the pavement of Argonauts Street.
On Friday afternoon, a 23-year-old presented himself at Police Headquarters. Police sources report that the young man admitted his involvement in the incident, but claimed he was attacked and reacted to protect himself.
The 23-year-old claimed that he found the knife on the ground and that he did not know whom he had struck or where.
