Thessaloniki: Third suspect before investigating magistrate in death of Vagia Nestora
A 26-year-old man was brought to the courthouse of the co-capital this morning, 15 July, to give his account. He is the third suspect involved in the arson attack on a residence in Thessaloniki, which cost the life of Vagia Nestora in early July.
The victim lost his life in the early hours of 1 July, when unknown assailants threw petrol bombs at a residence in the area.
The young man is said to have provided his premises to the two main suspects, a 29-year-old and a 26-year-old woman, who had previously been arrested and remanded in custody. According to information, the 26-year-old claims that he gave the keys to a person he knew, without realising for what reason the house would be used.
During the preliminary investigation, the suspect is reported to have denied any connection with the other two defendants.
The judicial authority has brought charges in rem against the three individuals for multiple offences, including manslaughter with possible intent, terrorist organisation, explosions, arson and unlawful possession of explosive materials.
