According to Google News GR — Crime (el), a 51-year-old Turkish national was arrested in Thessaloniki in execution of a red notice from international search procedures that had been pending against him by Interpol Turkey.
A Turkish court has sentenced him to imprisonment of over 12 years for fraud and drugs.
During police checks, the Hellenic Police ascertained that the arrested person lacked documents for lawful residence in Greek territory.
The wanted man is expected to be brought before the Deputy Prosecutor's Office of Thessaloniki, where procedures will be initiated for his extradition to Turkey.
