Three arrests for cannabis trafficking in Heraklion, Crete
Three people were arrested in Heraklion, Crete, for transporting cannabis via a scheduled shipping line vessel. According to information, the arrests were carried out by Port Authority officers.
As reported by Proto Thema, authorities spotted a 24-year-old disembarking from a scheduled shipping line vessel carrying a travel bag full of cannabis. During the investigation, port authorities proceeded to arrest two further individuals who are allegedly involved in the case.
During a search that was carried out, quantities of cannabis, cash, and weapons were seized. It is noteworthy that one of the three arrested individuals is a crew member of the scheduled shipping line vessel.
The three arrested individuals were brought before the competent prosecutorial authorities, and the investigation continues for the identification of any other individuals involved.
