Two Greek nationals and one foreign national have been arrested on suspicion of causing a fire through negligence in a forested area between Pefka and Philyro.

Three men are in the hands of prosecuting authorities following their arrest, as they are considered responsible for a fire that broke out in a forested area between Pefka and Philyro. According to News, those arrested are two Greeks and one foreign national.
The operation was carried out by investigative officers from the local Fire Service. One of the two Greek nationals was issued a fine of €3,093.75.
The three men will be presented before a prosecutor. Firefighting crews that rushed to the area, both from the ground and from the air, managed to contain the extent of the damage.
