Three Turkish nationals arrested in Piraeus with nearly one kilogramme of cannabis
A police operation in Piraeus led to the arrest of three men from Turkey. A total of 992.5 grammes of plant cannabis was found during a search of a vehicle and residence.

Three men from Turkey, aged 26, 39 and 45, were apprehended by authorities yesterday afternoon in Piraeus. The three face charges related to drugs legislation, and investigations are also underway into their involvement as accomplices.
The operation was conducted by officers from the Security and Drug Enforcement Team of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, with the assistance of services from the Hellenic Coast Guard headquarters.
Following information that was assessed, the competent authorities proceeded to check a vehicle being driven by the eldest of the three. A plastic package containing green plant material was found beneath the car seat, which was identified as cannabis weighing 3.4 grammes. In parallel, during the search of the driver, 680 euros in cash was discovered and seized.
Subsequently, with the assistance of a prosecutor and a specially trained dog, authorities searched the house where the three men were living. Additional quantities of plant cannabis were discovered there, with a total weight of 989.1 grammes. Also seized were four mobile phones, a pair of binoculars, a motorcycle and the car they were using.
Investigations are continuing by the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
