A candidate for the position of secretary at the courts has been barred from the National School of Judges, which operates in Thessaloniki, after it emerged that he had submitted forged documents.

The problem was identified during the process of cross-checking candidates' qualifications with educational institutions before they were placed in judicial service positions. The man had submitted an Information Technology degree that belonged to another person.

A case file was opened against him by the authorities and the matter was referred to the District Prosecutor's Office.

The same institution had faced a similar incident in May 2025. At that time, a woman who had been selected for the position of secretary was removed when it was established that the law degree she had submitted was forged. In that case too, the requisite criminal proceedings had been initiated.
