Kypséli: New scenario of illegal substances given to infant — older children to be re-examined
Newsbeast reports a new development in the case of an infant's death in Kypséli: police are investigating the possibility that the arrested couple administered illegal substances to their infant in order to stop it from crying.
According to Star, the results of toxicological tests — which will provide an answer to this particular scenario — are expected to be available in at least two months.
Investigating officers believe, as reported by Star, that the children know more than what they have disclosed — particularly the two oldest ones, who may have been present at the time of the infant's death. For this reason, they are expected to be re-examined by a police child psychologist.
By order of the prosecutor, the two boys are under strict isolation: no one is able to approach them except psychologists, doctors and nurses, according to Star.
The 15-year-old pregnant girl, who is presenting withdrawal syndrome as a chronic drug user, has been transferred to Attiko Hospital, where she is hospitalised in a psychiatric ward under close supervision by specialists.
