Two men aged 42 have been sent to Nafplio and Malandrino prisons after being ordered to be remanded in custody following their testimony before the examining magistrate.
The two arrested men are accused of the arson attack on Marfin bank in May 2010, which resulted in the death of three employees. The offences they face include wilful manslaughter.
The case concerns the fire that broke out in the bank's building on Stadio Street during demonstrations. Three employees died from asphyxiation, trapped on an upper floor of the building.
In parallel, the procedures for the extradition to Greece of a 46-year-old woman from England are expected to be concluded in the coming days. The woman in question is being held by British authorities and is also accused of involvement in the Marfin arson attack. She has already consented to her extradition to Athens and is expected to be transferred once the necessary formalities are completed.
