In the early hours of Saturday, at precisely 4:03, a shooting broke out at a car park belonging to a local catering establishment in central Čakovec. Two people were injured in the incident and sustained serious bodily injuries.
The arrival of emergency services enabled rapid transport of the injured to Čakovec County Hospital. There they were found to have serious injuries and remained under treatment.
After firing shots, the perpetrator fled the scene. Police have deployed all available resources in order to find and apprehend him quickly. An on-site investigation is being conducted, and criminal investigators are examining all circumstances of this violent incident.
