Sisačko-moslavačka police have arrested two men and seized a kilogramme of amphetamine, cocaine, an automatic pistol, a silencer, a hand grenade and an improvised device containing TNT.

Two men (37 and 33) from the Petrinja area have been detained by police after investigators monitored their activities for months. The older suspect allegedly sold 25 grammes of amphetamine to a woman from the same area in late March.
In mid-April, the two men set out towards Zagreb in search of a new shipment. Police stopped them after they had exited the A11 motorway at Lekenić. A search of their vehicle was carried out pursuant to a court order.
More than a kilogramme of amphetamine (speed), almost 47 grammes of cocaine, an automatic pistol with two magazines and eight rounds, a gun silencer, a knife with a brass knuckle handle and sheath, and a balaclava were found inside the vehicle.
Police also discovered an improvised explosive device containing 427 grammes of TNT, an electronic detonator and detonating cap, a hand grenade, three additional rounds, a GPS tracking device and an official number plate belonging to the Ministry of the Interior.
For the Sisak police administration, this is the first case in which weapons and explosives have been found in the possession of persons linked to drugs. Alenko Vrđuka, the chief, warned that such a combination poses a serious danger to citizens as it opens up the possibility of violent confrontation.
The suspects were handed over to the detention supervisor with criminal charges for drug trafficking and unlawful possession of weapons and explosives. The investigation was conducted by the Sisačko-moslavačka criminal police in cooperation with the national Criminal Police Administration and the Municipal State's Attorney's Office in Sisak.
