A 43-year-old Bosnian and Herzegovinian citizen was arrested in Lika for praising a convicted war criminal on the internet. The court sentenced him to a conditional prison term of 15 days.

Police arrested a 43-year-old Bosnian and Herzegovinian citizen who publicly expressed support for a convicted war criminal via social media, according to 24sata. The criminal investigation was conducted by police officers from the Korenica Border Police Station.
It was established that the man had posted images, symbols, songs and texts on social networks expressing gratitude towards the convicted war criminal. Such content caused unease, discomfort and a sense of being offended among citizens, police stated, thereby fulfilling the characteristics of a breach under the Law on Misdemeanours against Public Order and Peace.
After completion of the investigation, the 43-year-old was brought before the competent court with a motion for prosecution. The court imposed a sentence of 15 days imprisonment with a conditional sentence. He will not have to serve the sentence if he does not commit another misdemeanour within one year.
