Two people were wounded tonight in a shooting at a car park in front of a hospitality establishment in central Čakovec. The suspect fled the scene after the incident, and police are still searching for him, according to Croatian portal Index.
Police were notified of the shooting shortly after 4 a.m. According to media reports, the conflict initially broke out between several people inside the hospitality establishment. The argument continued in the car park, where physical altercation first occurred. Then one of those involved drew a pistol and fired several shots.
One victim, according to available information, was hit by a bullet in the leg, and the other in the abdomen. Due to serious injuries, both people were transported to hospital in Čakovec.
All available police units in the area are taking part in the search for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
