Osijek police have completed an investigation into a twenty-one-year-old Frenchman accused of defrauding a young man from Osijek via a fake text message and taking approximately 350 euros from him.

Police in Osijek have concluded an investigation into a twenty-one-year-old citizen of France suspected of electronic fraud against a twenty-two-year-old resident of the city.
According to the investigation's findings, the victim received a text message on his mobile phone in the third month of the year with a link for allegedly refreshing mobile banking data. When he clicked on the link and entered his financial details, the perpetrator gained access to his account and withdrew approximately 350 euros from it. The injured party only noticed the missing money later, when checking the account balance.
Officials from the Ministry of Interior will now file a report against the suspected foreign citizen with the local state prosecutor's office.
