Missing suspect in Karlovac murder case: police search for Bojana Peševska
Croatian police are intensively searching for 33-year-old Bojana Peševska, who disappeared in Virovitica with a minor child. The woman is accused in connection with the murder of Amar Sofić from November 2024.
Murder suspect disappears with child in Virovitica
Croatian police are intensively searching for Bojana Peševska (33), a citizen of North Macedonia, who disappeared in Virovitica together with a minor child, reports Google News SI — Crime (sl). Her disappearance was reported on 17 August.
Peševska is one of the accused in the murder case of Amar Sofić from Zenica, who was killed in early November 2024. His body was found on 14 November at the confluence of the Korana and Kupa rivers.
The County State Prosecutor's Office in Karlovac filed an indictment in September against 25-year-old Juret Udorović, who is charged with aggravated murder. According to the prosecution, the victim was intoxicated with alcohol and tablets, beaten, and thrown into the Kupa river in a helpless state, where he drowned. The motive is said to have been Sofić's BMW.
Peševska, meanwhile, is on trial at the County Court in Karlovac. She is accused of transferring ownership of Amar's vehicle to herself using a forged bill of sale, knowing that the owner had been killed. She also faces charges of certification of false content and failure to report a criminal offence.
Udorović was arrested before the discovery of the murder for a minor theft; only later did investigators determine that he was likely also the perpetrator of the murder.
As published on the Nestali.hr website, Peševska was born in 1993 in Štip in North Macedonia. She is 165 centimetres tall, of average build, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She wears shoe size 40.
