Dramatic pursuit unfolded on Zagreb streets in the early morning hours. Police officers at around four-thirty in the morning attempted to stop a private vehicle on Jadran Bridge. The driver, a twenty-year-old, decided to flee.

Officers pursued him, activating their blue lights and sirens. The young man continued fleeing towards the A1 motorway. At the toll stations Lučko and Zdenčina, he passed the barriers without paying, damaging two toll booths in the process.

The pursuit's endpoint was the intersection of Ventilatorsska and Puškarićeva streets. There the driver collided with a police car that blocked his path. The impact was so forceful that he lost control of the vehicle and ended up off the road. However, he exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended.

Investigation established that the suspect did not have a valid driving licence. It was also determined that the registration of the vehicle he was driving had expired. Fortunately, no one sustained injuries in this incident. Police stated that criminal investigation is still ongoing.
