Shortly before 21:00 on Tuesday, an armed robbery was committed at a shop on Trg Ivana Kukuljevića in Zagreb's Špansko neighbourhood, confirmed by the Zagreb Police Directorate — as reported by Večernji list.
An unknown perpetrator threatened a 23-year-old employee with a sharp object and stole money from her. He then fled the scene.
Police arrived at the scene, and all circumstances of the incident should be clarified once the criminal investigation is completed. The perpetrator remains unknown for now.
Information about the incident quickly began spreading on social media. In one Facebook group, residents reported that there were a greater number of police vehicles in the Kukuljevićev trg area. Unsubstantiated claims also appeared about an alleged knife attack on multiple people in the shop, which police have not confirmed.
