Zagreb police arrested a man who threatened to activate an explosive device near one of the city's primary schools.

According to unconfirmed information from the portal 24sata, the man pulled the safety pin from a hand grenade and threatened with it in the immediate vicinity of the school. Police confirmed to the same portal that an explosive device was found on the suspect.

Due to the danger, before the arrest itself, police established a security perimeter around the primary school, nursery and other nearby buildings. "Police do not allow us to leave the street. There are many police officers around our building," said one of the readers of the 24sata portal.
