Police dog discovers 522 grams of cocaine in car driven by BiH national on A1 near Zadar
Zadar traffic police arrested a 27-year-old Bosnian and Herzegovinian national on motorway A1 near Jasenica. Officers found more than half a kilogram of cocaine in the vehicle.
Police dog Gana discovers cocaine in vehicle with German plates
Zadar traffic police stopped a 27-year-old Bosnian and Herzegovinian national on motorway A1 in the Jasenica area near Zadar the day before yesterday at around 15:30, according to Index.hr. The driver was operating a vehicle with German registration plates and was stopped as part of an intensified traffic control operation.
Police officers suspected the presence of drugs in the vehicle and requested assistance from an official drug detection dog from the Zadar Police Administration. Dog Gana tested positive for drugs inside the vehicle, after which the vehicle was transported to police administration premises.
Based on a court order, a detailed search of the vehicle was carried out. During the search, the 27-year-old voluntarily handed over to police officers a vacuum-sealed package containing approximately 522 grams of cocaine from the vehicle's glove compartment. The drugs were seized.
Police suspect the man obtained the cocaine for the purpose of further distribution. Following the completed criminal investigation, the 27-year-old was handed over to the custody supervisor of the Zadar Police Administration. A criminal charge was filed against him with the competent public prosecutor's office in Zadar for unauthorised production and trafficking in drugs, announced the Zadar Police Administration.
