Wanted person arrested in Slavonski Brod: suspect barricaded himself in house and sustained injuries
Police from the Brodsko-Posavska police authority located a 49-year-old man for whom a search had been issued. The suspect barricaded himself in a house, a gunshot was heard, and he then emerged injured and was transported to hospital.

Police officers from the Brodsko-Posavska police authority located a 49-year-old man this morning for whom a search had been issued on suspicion of committing criminal offences, Večernji list reports.
The suspect barricaded himself in a house in the Slavonski Brod area and refused to leave in response to police calls. After a period of time, a gunshot was heard. In response to repeated police calls, the man emerged from the house injured.
First aid was provided to him by police officers and emergency medical services personnel at approximately 10 o'clock. Emergency medical services personnel subsequently transported him to hospital, where he was admitted for further treatment.
According to police information, following the completion of treatment and criminal investigation, and on the basis of an order from the County State Attorney's Office in Slavonski Brod, the suspect will be remanded in custody at the prison in Požega. The investigation is ongoing.
