A masked man threatened a member of staff with a weapon and seized cash. Istrian police are searching for the attacker.

Armed robber held up shop in Pula with pistol
In a business premises in central Pula, on Friday evening shortly before 10 p.m., a masked man carried out an armed robbery. He entered the shop on Kraška Street, drew a pistol and threatened a 44-year-old shop assistant. Under duress, the woman was forced to hand over money from the till, after which the robber fled.
The employee, who holds Macedonian citizenship, sustained no physical injuries. The owner of the damaged shop is a company based in Omiš. The exact amount of money taken by the thief is still being assessed.
Officers from Istrian police carried out an inspection of the scene and launched an intensive search for the perpetrator.
