A 54-year-old woman from Slavonski Brod has been remanded in custody on suspicion of paying another person to murder a 57-year-old man from her family.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against a 54-year-old resident of Slavonski Brod on suspicion of incitement to aggravated murder. County prosecutors believe she acted out of financial gain.
According to the allegations, in late June 2026 in the city on the Sava, she offered payment to another person to kill a 57-year-old relative. She also provided instructions that would have helped in the execution and concealment of the crime.
After being questioned by authorities, a ruling was issued against her for further investigation. The investigating judge approved detention, citing the risk of influencing witnesses and the possibility of reoffending.
