Croatian police have arrested a 63-year-old Slovak national who secretly filmed naked children at a tourist complex in Istria using glasses fitted with a high-resolution camera.

A 63-year-old Slovak national was arrested at one of the tourist complexes on the Istrian peninsula on suspicion of secretly filming naked children. The man used glasses with a built-in high-resolution camera and was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon.
His attention was drawn by a security guard who noticed suspicious behaviour and movement among minors. Believing his intentions were not pure, the guard detained him until police arrived. A subsequent investigation showed that the security guard's instinct was correct.
Police officers found not only a recording device at the suspect's location but also video recordings of disturbing content. As a result, they filed criminal charges against him for child exploitation for pornography and ordered his detention.
Police did not reveal the exact location of the incident, nor did they specify which tourist complex was involved. However, they released a photograph of the glasses the suspect used so that the public could more easily recognise similar offenders in the future.
Parents have been asked to watch their children and supervise them, and not to let them bathe naked. Should citizens notice any suspicious person filming children, they should immediately call police on 192.
