The Umag police are investigating a 44-year-old Slovenian who took a car as payment for construction work and then broke contact without starting the job.

The Istrian Police Directorate has conducted an investigation into a 44-year-old Slovenian citizen on suspicion of fraud. According to the report, the man concluded an agreement for construction work on a house owned by a woman from Bašainja on 24 June.
As compensation for the work, the homeowner handed over her vehicle to him. After taking the car, the suspect broke off all communication with the client and failed to carry out the agreed tasks. The competent authority will file criminal charges against him.
