Slovenian driver caught behind wheel without licence in Velika Gorica, refused drug test
Croatian police in Velika Gorica stopped a 39-year-old Slovenian national who was driving a motor vehicle without a valid driving licence and refused to undergo drug testing. The court imposed a fine of 1,500 euros on him.

Police officers in the Zagreb satellite settlement of Velika Gorica stopped a 39-year-old Slovenian national on Tuesday at around 11 p.m. who was driving a private motor vehicle without a valid driving licence. The incident occurred in Novi Čičak, and during the control the driver also refused to take a test for the presence of drugs in his system and a medical examination with a blood and urine sample for analysis, the Zagreb police directorate reported.
A further investigation established that the man had never passed a driving test and obtained the right to independently operate a motor vehicle. Police detained him and brought him before the competent municipal misdemeanour court with a charge proposal.
The law enforcement authority proposed a fine of 2,640 euros, but the court found him guilty and imposed a sanction of 1,500 euros.
