Police were alerted to a physical altercation between two men on the beach. Responding officers found a seriously injured 51-year-old man at the scene. A medical team provided emergency assistance at the location, after which he was taken to Zadar General Hospital. Despite medical intervention, he died during the night.
The other participant in the altercation was brought in immediately after officials arrived at the location. He is being held at a police station where a criminal investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Zadar state prosecutor's office.
